Product Description
Fibromyalgia is a chronic arthritic condition characterized by widespread aching and pain in the muscles, ligaments and tendons and multiple joints, and is accompanied by debilitating fatigue and multiple tender points on the body where even the slightest pressure may cause pain.

Fibromyalgia is more common in women than in men. Fibromyalgia is estimated to affect 2-4% of the population, with a female to male incidence ratio of approximately 10 to 1.

Fibromyalgia continues to be considered a controversial diagnosis, lacking a widely accepted scientific consensus as to its cause. Not all members of the medical community regard Fibromyalgia a disease because of a frequent lack of precise abnormalities on physical examination and the absence of objective diagnostic tests or laboratory findings. However, Fibromyalgia has been recognized as a diagnosable disorder by the American College of Rheumatology and the National Institutes of Health.

Coping with Fibromyalgia – it’s not in your head, it’s a disease was written by Drs. Seiden and Bilett – the same doctors who wrote Coping with Arthritis. Fibromyalgia is a form of arthritis, however, Fibromyalgia pain may come and go and also tends to travel throughout the body, differentiating it from arthritis pain.

The intent of Coping with Fibromyalgia is to help those who are suffering (or fear they are suffering) from Fibromyalgia to understand the disease better, identify the symptoms, learn the causes, the diagnosis and better understand the treatments of it. Not all the treatments are medical treatments, dietary and lifestyle treatments are addressed along with the medical terminology and issues.

Fibromyalgia is not progressive, not life threatening, and if understood, its symptoms can be better dealt with.

The ‘100-Up’ Exercise was devised in the nineteenth century by runner and athlete, Walter G George. The technique had become almost forgotten, until a New York Times article by Christopher McDougall revived interest in the exercise amongst twenty first century runners eager to improve their performance.

This short eBook takes a fresh look at how the ’100-Up’ method began and includes full instructions on how you can implement the exercise yourself.

The beauty of the ‘100-Up’ Exercise is that it can be used by almost anyone to develop fitness and stamina. For serious runners, it’s a way to improve technique, but the ‘100-Up’ method can also be used by non-athletes. Best of all, it’s an exercise you can do indoors or outdoors, at home or at work… in fact, almost anywhere.Product Description
